How to choose brake pads

The choice of brake pads for track days depends on the conditions, the weight of the motorcycle and the riding style. There are a few things worth keeping in mind.

Types of pads

Organic pads are gentler on the disc but lose performance at high temperatures. Sintered and race compound pads hold up better over long sessions, but require a warmed-up disc for optimal braking.

Don't forget the brake fluid

Even the best pads won't help if the brake fluid has absorbed moisture. For track days we recommend a fluid with a high boiling point, such as Motul RBF 660.
